Communications and Marketing Specialist

Gaelle Banini is a Communications professional with over 10 years of experience working in a variety of industries. From, telecommunications, to finance, medical, bio-industry, and nonprofit. Her passion is to learn new skills, while applying her cumulative experience in the service of overall organizational objectives. Her racialized experience and lens comes from being born in Cameroon, and having lived in France, Canada and the US throughout her youth and young adulthood. Likewise, her varied experience of blackness in each of these countries fuels her dedication to be part of the change toward greater inclusivity and racial equity in society, via her field of communications. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Simon Fraser university, with a double minor in journalism and finance. She has worked for national and multinational companies such as Telus Mobility and General Motors, before deciding to turn to freelance work. Furthermore, she has worked as a bilingual communications and social media specialist for the past 7 years, helping small and medium businesses shape their communications and social media strategies. She volunteers for a local children’s nonprofit organization in Montreal called F.A.C.E.S, helping to provide them with creative content for their online platforms.
